Eastern Alumni and Friends:
Your time spent at Eastern or your interest in east central Illinois can be memorialized through a donation to the Booth Library Enhancement Fund. Each gift, no matter how small, will ensure better services for the users of Booth Library or enhance the preservation of our historic building.

Naming opportunities for larger donations are still available. Eastern's Office of Development will be happy to assist you in choosing a proper memorial. Please call (217) 581-3313.

	Booth is an old friend indeed. Sure, time marches on and your life expands and changes but old friends still hold a special place in your heart. Time spent on Eastern Illinois University's campus undoubtedly led you to Booth Library, the memorable entry hall, its quiet study areas, and seemingly miles of books. Your memories of Booth may be of time spent poring over texts during an all-night study session; listening to records or CDs, researching a paper topic; or hiding away to chat with a friend. You learned in many ways the power and comfort of books and libraries.

Some of the improvements that will enhance our efforts to support instruction and research are: an improved floorplan and traffic pattern, with a five-story atrium more student study areas and new group study rooms greater capacity and security for library collections climate control for the comfort of our patrons and the preservation of collections study and conference tables wired for data and power improved accessibility for all our patrons, including three elevators browsable media collections	We thought you'd like to know that we've completed the 30-month project to transform this old friend into a state-of-the-art facility. We have modernized Booth's infrastructure while retaining the historical character of the building. In addition, we've added and improved technology and made the facility more user friendly and inviting. Your contribution to the library will ensure that future EIU students will remember as fondly as you do their time on campus and in Booth Library. Each gift will benefit thousands of future library users. Your support will help continue "the tradition of excellence" at Eastern Illinois University and Booth Library.
