Juvenile Collection

The juvenile collection consists of approximately 30,000 picture books, fiction, and nonfiction books for children. Each year, books honored as award winners (Caldecott, Geisel, Coretta Scott King, Newbery, Printz, Sibert) Monarch, Bluestem, Rebecca Caudill, Abraham Lincoln,) and those on "best books" lists for children are also added to the collection. Other youth books and media are also selected from various additional ALA Book, Print, and Media Awards. The collection is arranged in Dewey Decimal Classification System order.
