Circulation
Periodicals
- Periodicals (magazines, journals and newspapers) are located on the 1000 (lower) level of Booth Library.
- Current issues of all periodicals are located behind the Periodicals Desk in the Atrium. A valid EIU I.D. is required to see these issues. Older magazines and journals are shelved in call number order on the 1000 level.
- Microfilm copies of journals, magazines and newspapers are located in microforms area, 1000 North.

Reserves
Reserve materials are supplemental print and non-print items that EIU faculty members have asked to be set aside for student use.- Reserve materials can be searched using the EIU Online Catalog. Click on the "Course Reserves" tab.
- Printouts of reserve materials are arranged by department, course number, and instructor's name.
- Print materials are available at Periodicals/Reserve Desk in the Atrium (1000 level).
- Non-print materials are available at the Library Technology Services Desk, 4000 level.
- Valid EIU I.D. is required to charge out reserve materials.
- Loan periods vary and are determined by instructors.
- Reserve items should be returned to the desk they were checked out from.
