Remo Belli International Percussion Library
Booth Library purchased the music collection of Frank's Drum Shop of Chicago
in 1988 when it closed its doors. This acquisition was dedicated and named
the Remo Belli International Percussion Library in July 1989. It consists
of more than 2500 titles of percussion scores, parts, and methods books,
most of which are in multiple copies. Publishers and composers have been
cooperating in the development of the collection by placing their recent
publications here. In summer of 1999, Professor Thomas Siwe of Urbana,
Illinois donated over 600 musical scores to enrich the percussion library.
All items are available to scholars and performers for use at Booth Library or through interlibrary borrowing. Either I-Share or OCLC may be used in locating materials. Ask your local library how to arrange a loan from Booth Library.
The EIU Online Catalog may be searched in a variety of ways. Searches may be done by author, title, or Library of Congress subject heading.
